James
M. Gaitis is an academic and domestic and international arbitrator
with broad experience in the resolution of commercial and energy/oil
& gas disputes. In addition to teaching international arbitration to
LLM students and professionals at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum &
Mineral Law & Policy at the University of Dundee, Scotland, he
frequently speaks and writes on a variety of arbitration topics and
has served as a testifying expert witness of the application of the
FAA and state arbitration law. He as served as an arbitrator in over

Mr.
Gaitis has attended a diverse variety of mediation, arbitration, and
risk analysis training seminars and programs sponsored by private
domestic and international organizations, state bar associations,
the American Arbitration Association, the Chartered Institute of
Arbitrators, the ICC, the IBA, etc., and has been qualified to serve
as an arbitrator in both domestic and international arbitrations.
