
1978 - 1990
Prior
to limiting his professional activities solely to serving as an
arbitrator and ADR service provider Mr. Gaitis served as legal counsel
to clients in over 500 civil court actions and regulatory proceedings,
and in over 50 appeals (including approximately 15 appeals with
reported appellate decisions). He additionally represented domestic
and international oil and gas clients in commercial transactions
relating to upstream, midstream and downstream activities in the oil
& gas industry. From 1989-90, he served as Special Counsel to a
major American natural gas pipeline company and, in that capacity,
managed and coordinated litigation involving hundreds of domestic
and international claims
relating to diverse contract, tort, and antitrust issues.
